Resource and Investment NL (ASX: RNI) is a West Australian mineral explorer which is poised to join the ranks of Australian gold producers through a $35 million deal to acquire the Fortnum Gold Project, which includes a 1Mtpa processing plant and an existing 1.2Moz gold resource base. The Fortnum deal will see RNI emerge as a dominant landholder in WA’s Bryah-Padbury Basin, increasing its tenement package to about 2,225km² in one of Australia’s most exciting and highly prospective mineral provinces.  This includes about 100km strike of Narracoota Volcanics, which are the host rocks for the world-class DeGrussa copper-silver deposits.

The Fortnum deal delivers RNI more than 100 walk-up drill targets as the Company continues 950 hole drilling program at its flagship Doolgunna Project, located just 3km from Sandfire’s DeGrussa discoveries.
